Dr. R.Khanduja is an alumnus of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune after which he joined the Indian Army and performed 29 years of service to the defence forces.
While in service he did his MD(Medicine) from the reputed Army Hospital (R&R) at Delhi and later did his fellowship in Nephrology from the prestigious AIIMS, Delhi, where he showed special interest in Renal Transplantation. Subsequently he has been practicing Nephorogy in the Army at Jalandhar, Pune and Delhi.
He then did a stint of 3 years at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. He has been instrumental in setting up the Nephrology Centre at Jalandhar MH.
He has been actively involved in renal transplantation in the Army, Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj & Patel Hospital. He has been involved in almost 300 renal transplants both living and cadaveric. He has done ABO incompatible transplants, transplants in HIV Patients and transplants in HCV +ve Patients.
